New Found Freedom!

As my friends would know, I have just undergone a kidney transplant operation one month ago, on the 29th Sep 2008. That was the day I achieved new found freedom! I had been on dialysis for the past 4 years at NKF. And yes, I witnessed the saga in 2005 which happened the year after I was accepted into NKF. Looking back, having 4 years of dialysis is really not easy. I had to restrict my water consumption, to 500mls a day! Only one small mineral water bottle? It seems so impossible... I loved drinking coffee, esp hanging out with my friends at Starbucks. And because of my work as a financial consultant, I have to talk to clients and after every session, I feel so thirsty that I have to glup water to quench my thirst.

Now? I can drink as much water as I want! No restrictions! Even food, I can now every everything under the sun! Last time, humph... cannot eat chocolate, cannot beancurd, cannot drink milo, cannot this, cannot that, cannot eat nuts.... it drove me nuts!

I feel like I have been reborn. All thanks to God and of course, my beloved brother, Caleb, who sacrificed one of his kidneys to give me this new life. I can never thank him enuff... I can only repay him by living my life to the fullest, and support him in his future endeavors. And his dream is to be a world class musician. All the best for your Berklee studies brother!

Ok I shall end my entry here. I have so much to share about my experience. But it getting late and I have to call my girlfriend soon. See ya again!
